These marine killing horrors thrive in cold water.
They are large, (up to 30cm) and are orange with purple.
They are such a pest because they feast on clams, scallops, musulls, crabs anthing that has tissue,
destroying our fisheries.
In Aisian markets they sell for aroud $1 each.
It is a major problem in Japan as well, in 1994 the amount of sea stars in Tokyo bay was worth around 400 millon Yen.
